Rejuvenate and reward yourself with a blissful Hawaii Yoga & Painting retreat. Practice yoga in the midst of Hawaii's lush tropical surrounds, and introduce yourself to multiple types of yoga, including Kundalini, Vinyasa Flow, and Anusara™ Inspired. Let your creativity flow in daily watercolor painting classes guided by prize-winning artist, Aiona Anderson.
Our retreat will include four days of up to 8 yoga and meditation classes, a daily painting class, five nights’ accommodation, and three delicious, healthy, chef-prepared meals each day. Workshop participants will also enjoy full access to Kalani facilities during their stay.
Relax poolside, soak in outdoor hot tubs under a beautiful blue sky by day and a dazzling blanket of stars by night. Work up a sweat in Kalani's sauna and gym facilities, or relax with a book in the Kalani library.
Luxuriate with one or more of Kalani's many massage and bodywork treatments, from traditional Hawaiian lomi-lomi, Thai massage, to raindrop technique.
Participate in the 50+ activities and classes offered at Kalani each week. Experience Hawaiian culture in our Hula, Hawaiian Studies, and Huna Healing classes; enjoy dance and movement during Ecstatic Dance, Modern Dance, Qi Gong, Aerial Basics, pilates and more.
Connect with nature as you explore nearby sights. Watch sunrise at “the point”, a rocky bluff overlooking deep blue waters of Hawaii where turtles, dolphins, and humpback whales often play. Walk the dramatic coastline where ocean waves crash against cliffs of hardened lava. Soak in a natural therapeutic warm pond, hike a volcano, experience lava, and visit the local black sand beach.

Aiona was born into the N'tlakapkmuk (Thompson) nation of Indigenous people near Lytton, British Columbia, and spent her early years living with her family on an isolated subsistence farm. Keenly aware of her spiritual heritage and bonding, in her painting Aiona reflects a fusion of traditional themes and visions with modern techniques and materials.
Her inspiration comes from her own life experiences filtered through the humanistic and spiritual insights that spring from her cultural roots. Returning to universal foundations of vision, light, space, movement and color, she works to express the ancient through a modernistic veil.
