WILD ASPARAGUS is one of the most popular contra dance bands in America. Drawing upon tunes from New England, the British Isles, and Canada, as well as from classical sources, their driving rhythm, unique instrumentation, and creative high-energy music is guaranteed to surprise and delight.

About the Facilitator(s)
Wild Asparagus featured David Cantieni on flutes, whistle, saxophone and bombard; Ann Percival on piano, guitar and heart-tugging vocals; George Marshall on concertina and bodhran; and Becky Tracy masterfully working the fiddle. Mark Hellenberg plays his considerable talents as a percussionist. Mark is a member of the Ohio-based Hotpoint String band and the Sevens, and has appeared with the Groovemongers, the Reckless Ramblers, and Popcorn Behavior.
