Taste of Yoga: A Culinary Festival Experience

Learn, feast, and deepen your yoga practice with us, as we celebrate the Puna Culinary Festival!

This special yoga and culinary package is designed to give you the best of both worlds.

The Puna Chefs' and Farmers' Culinary Festival features:

  • Featured Dinner and 'Iron Chef' Competition, November 3rd
  • A full week of culinary classes and activities, November 3rd-11th
  • Two special culinary tasting dinners, November 6th and 8th
  • A Taste of Pahoa, a culinary event in Pahoa town, November 9th
  • Behind the Scenes Luau, our spectacular closing event on November 10th.

The festival also features farm tours (permaculture, sustainable farming practices, coffee, and more), visits to local markets, and innovative culinary classes.

Experience the beauty of Hawaii, enjoying delicious meals, pool time and beach time, and access to more than 50 classes a week, including twelve styles of yoga, Hawaiian culture classes, performing arts, and other activities.

Attend your choice of the culinary immersion (cooking classes and farm tours), or Shaman in the Kitchen featuring local kahuna Stewart Blackburn.  Yoga classes with our renowned instructional staff, and our wide variety of other scheduled activities, will also be included at no extra charge. All levels of yoga practice, including beginners, are welcome. Yoga mats, props and blankets are all provided.

Workshop Fees

Kalani is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charity. Your stay here supports our educational mission, preservation of ancient Hawaiian cultural sites, and the development of a model sustainable community.

Included: Accommodation as selected below, all meals at Kalani, use of Kalani facilities, all regular classes and events, and your choice of the Culinary Festival Immersion or Shaman in the Kitchen.

Not Included: Airport transfers, and flights to/from Hilo airport (ITO.) United Airlines has direct flights from San Francisco and Los Angeles to Hilo; Hawaiian Airlines, and go! Mokulele both offer intra-island service between Honolulu and Hilo.
