When There's Trouble in Paradise... A Retreat on Ending Anxiety and Depression Once and for All
Lama Marut, Cindy Lee, Darin McFadyen & Claire Thompson
Join us, 2011, as American Buddhist monk Lama Marut, Buddhist teacher and yogini Cindy Lee, and fellow teachers from the Asian Classics Institute present a four-day retreat on the shores of paradise. At this retreat you will encounter time-tested wisdom that is both grounded in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, and fully applicable to our modern lives. You will be taking home tools and strategies to put to work immediately to create a happier life, as well as meeting other like-minded people, and enjoying the beautiful setting (and great food!).
The evening philosophy classes include teachings from Buddhist Master Shantideva’s foundational text on compassion, Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, in an original translation from the Sanskrit by Lama Marut, whose teachings have changed the lives of so many people around the world. Morning yoga and guided meditation will help us integrate the teachings from the night before at the deepest level. The Meditation Basics and Art of the Spiritual Practice classes present the foundations of a spiritual life in a way that is appealing and fun, and we hope the kirtan music and fire ceremony will create some great memories to take home as well. We really hope you will join us.
