Whether you are a practitioner, artist, musician, healer, therapist, teacher, professional, or group facilitator your work/life will be enriched with new awareness and skill incorporating the collective wisdom of traditional and leading edge sound healing methods.
About the Facilitator(s)
Joule L’adara is a classically trained vocalist whose music integrates western and eastern spiritual traditions utilizing extended vocal techniques. She is a recording artist currently in collaboration with Houman Pourmehdi of the Lian Ensemble. She has an MFA in Multi-Focus Vocal Performance and Integrated Media from California Institute of the Arts, a BFA in Acting, a Diploma in Audio Engineering, she is a Reiki Practitioner and holds a Certificate in Sound Healing from the Sound and Consciousness Institute, San Francisco. Joule has taught for the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, CalArts, and for Agatha Carubia’s Heart Based Singing Retreats in Hawaii and Santa Barbara. She regularly leads Sounding Circles on the Big Island.
Carmelle Moore is passionate about supporting every ‘body and voice’ to express their full potential with power and joy. Through 25 years experience as a Speech Pathologist, 10 years teaching yoga and postgraduate research exploring the effects of yoga on voice production, Carmelle has developed her unique approach to vocal development. Reflecting on her extensive clinical practice with individuals and groups, she has presented this work in speech pathology and yoga forums throughout Australia and internationally. Carmelle currently lives in the Byron Bay area where she teaches on retreats, and works with singers, teachers and presenters. Elvina Munir is an accomplished musician and an intuitive mandala artist, who has an in depth knowledge of sound and harmonics. She also has a degree in engineering and completed her Associate of Music on flute. After many years of living and traveling in India following her interest in yoga and meditation, she settled in Germany. There she worked in the field of sound therapy and was introduced to energy chimes and the amazing healing harmonics that they produce. Elvina now lives in the Byron Bay, Australia, where she makes hand crafted energy chimes, facilitates Harmonic Healing workshops Australia wide, gives regular sound meditations and plays music with various ensembles. Kieran Riordan is a holistic psychologist with over 30 years experience in the healing arts. Kieran incorporates the wisdom of Esther and Jerry Hicks, Course in Miracles, Byron Katie, Sages of Self-inquiry into proven psychotherapeutic approaches. Kieran regards his role as a co-explorer as well as educator and feels increasingly grateful and surprised at how his work unfolds. In this workshop Kieran is available to explore one on one with participants their personal ‘story of voice’ as it relates to birth family, relationship, work and creative scenarios.
