Hula Heritage and Festival 2008
The Kalani Team
- Dance/Movement
- Hawai'ian Culture
April 7, 2008
Join us as we celebrate great moments of Hawaiian culture. Throughout the week, at Kalani Oceanside Retreat, we will learn traditional songs, chants, myths, crafts, language, plant uses and hula - in both kahiko (ancient) and ‘auana (post 1860) forms.
From Wednesday through Saturday, we will also attend Merrie Monarch Hula Festival evening ceremonies, performances and competitions at the Edith Kanakaole Stadium in Hilo.
Our finale performance, at Kalani, celebrates a week of extraordinary cultural enrichment, fun, good food, spa relaxation, exercise, and excursions, including the spectacular spirit home of fire goddess Pele in Volcanoes National Park.
Tickets are very limited. Call now to register for this extraordinary Hawaiian week.
