jaRed has been learning, deepening and sharing his yoga flow practice at Kalani for the past eleven years. He first discovered his resonance with yoga through the ashtanga primary series with Pamela Richardson in the summer of '97. He graduated from Kathy Elder's original yoga teacher training in 2001, and has since deepened his understanding of teaching vinyasa flow yoga through intensives with Shiva Rea.
He has felt honored and inspired by the teachings of many and holds gratitude for all of his teachers, past and present. He continues to hold a sacred space for breath, gratitude, yoga and love in his weekly classes at Kalani Oceanside Retreat. www.jaredsam.com
Maxwell Starkhouse
Maxwell is a yoga instructor, massage therapist, dancer, poet, musician and artist. He was first introduced to yoga by his mother when he was a young child and has been interested in alternative medicine and healing arts ever since. He has studied with different teachers around the world such as Kathy Elder, Shiva Rea, Lino Miele and Duncan Wong. He received his yoga teacher training certificate in 2003 at Kalani Honua in Hawaii. He is influenced by many different styles of yoga and martial arts such as Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga , Restorative Yoga , Capoiera, Tai Chi, and Kuk Sol Korean Buddhist martial arts. He spent five months traveling in India deepening his practice of yoga. He currently teaches Intuitive Yoga at Kalani.
Dennis Dehler
Dennis agrees with Pattabhi Jois' statement in the movie Enlighten Up that the main goal of yoga is to discipline the mind. Dennis feels that Kundalini Yoga is one of the most effective, fun and quickest methods to practice the art of disciplining the mind. His approach is gentle and focuses on opening up the energy centers in the body with Kundalini Yoga exercises. He has studied with Kundalini master Gurmukh and completed Yogi Bhajan's Kundalini Teacher Training. His classes are invigorating, grounding, intuitive, fun and leave you feeling centered, calm and smiling.

With a 20-plus year practice, Alicia Cheung is extremely passionate about teaching yoga. She loves connecting with and encouraging students to find and play with their edges, knowing when to push and when to surrender. Using the mat practice as a metaphor for life, she enjoys threading philosophy into her teaching to encourage people to experience themselves beyond the mat.
Oliver Reinsch
Oliver took his first yoga asana class with Rodney Yee about 20 years ago, but considers his yoga training to have started the first time he entered the ocean as a kid. He completed the YogaWorks teacher training in 1999 and is an ERYT-500 teacher, and conducts teacher trainings for YogaWorks internationally. Oliver currently lives in Bali.

Joel Benjamin
Joel Benjamin is very excited to be teaching a yoga retreat at Kalani- one of his most favorite places on the planet. He has been practicing yoga since 1998, and has been teaching since 2004. Joel believes that when the ancient yogis created what we refer to today as yoga, it was never their intention to design a series of exercises to develop "yoga butt," (even though this is how many in the West have come to view this 5,000 year old art form.) Yoga is a system of breathwork, mindfulness, and physical postures all designed to improve the quality of our lives by bringing us into the present moment, opening our hearts, and making us better human beings. At its core, Joel believes that the true intention of yoga is to create embodied presence and emotional responsiveness.
Joel has a BFA from Syracuse University in Theatre, and is certified to teach yoga from Pacific Yoga, and master teacher Max Strom. He is also a member of the Yoga Alliance. Joel owns Yoga Shack, a private yoga school in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle.

Her students were her main teachers for those first few years and then, something had to be done. Lynne enrolled in the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco’s Teacher Training Program the summer of 1980. Encouraged by Donald Moyer, she attended her first yoga Intensive at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India in 1981. She was certified to teach yoga by BKS Iyengar in 1984. Subsequent trips to Pune followed in 1988 and 1997.
Lynne continues to study and be inspired by teachers of both the Iyengar and Anusara traditions of yoga. Judith Lasater, Donald Moyer, Fr. Joe Pereira, John Friend, Sarahjoy Marsh and Desiree Rumbaugh are influential in her teaching. Dr. Suzan Rossi is a graduate of Life University in Marietta, GA, a Diplomate of the National Boards of Chiropractic and is licensed to practice Chiropractic on both the East and West coasts. She is a nationally recognized expert, lecturer and author in the Chiropractic and Alternative Healing fields. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Rossi is an ordained minister, practitioner and instructor of both the ancient Mayan advance healing practices of Divine Intervention & Spontaneous Remission and Light Language. Furthermore, she is a practitioner of the Esoteric and Soul Focus healing techniques.
Through her diverse blend of esoteric studies, personal spiritual growth and professional experience with thousands of patients Dr Rossi’s multidimensional healing work emerged as The Quickening, Accelerated Conscious Evolution, a divinely inspired system of gentle and powerful inner transformation for the new millennium. From that foundation both The Quickening Practitioner Program and The Quickening Train the Trainer Program were soon launched attracting students from various schools of training from around the world. Dr. Rossi teaches and travels nationally and abroad. She now resides and has her practice in Marietta, GA. She is a mother of two happily married children and a delighted grandmother of five young grandchildren.
A graduate of the Baptist School of Nursing in Memphis, TN, Kris TwoOwls Ledzius, RN specialized in child and adolescent psychiatry and behavior modification. She worked in both acute care inpatient and outpatient settings for nearly 20 years. The granddaughter and niece of chiropractors, she was exposed to the concept of holistic healing throughout her life. She became involved in animal rescue work and training at an early age.
She has studied with a variety of teachers including Master Herbalist Ron Sullivan, Medicine Woman and Master Naturalist Cathy Bryan, Master Healer/Teachers: Starr Fuentes, Shirley Resler, Dr. Suzan Rossi, Colette Chase and others. She left full-time nursing in 1999 to provide private duty hospice care for her stepfather, a combat paralyzed Viet Nam Veteran. After his death she opened The Groom Closet, a pet grooming business that included energetic healing for sick and elderly pets and their owners. She continues to weave her passion for horses, healing and teaching and travels throughout the United States.

Deposits and Course Registration
The “Quantum Leap in Paradise” Full Package price ranges from a very affordable five day Hawaiian Resort experience of $1315 to $2245 for Kalani’s finest private accommodation. SPACE IS LIMITED.Please make your deposit as soon as possible to guarantee your desired accommodations. Deposit is one half of your chosen package. It is required at registration and the remaining balance be paid in full by March 5, 2011. If paid in full by January 15, 2011 you will receive the early bird discount of $100 off your package price.
Cancellation Policy
If cancellation becomes necessary for you, 20% of your initial deposit is non-refundable; however it is transferable if cancellation occurs before February 19, 2011 to future Dr. Suzan Rossi or Quickening, Accelerated Conscious Evolution (ACE) courses, intensives or programs. The remainder of your deposit will be returned to you in 30 business days of your written request. If the “Quantum Leap in Paradise” Hawaiian event is cancelled for any reason your deposits may be reimbursed in full within 30 business days, with a charge of $50 processing fee, or the funds can be transferred to a future Dr. Rossi or Quickening event with no processing fee.

For years the prophecies of the ancient Americas have spoken about the possibility of a new human appearing on the planet – one who lives free of fear and resides in his or her transcendent nature.
