LARA MCINTOSH believes that anyone who moves is already a dancer. She has danced all her life. As a performer, teacher, and choreographer,
Lara explores rhythm, spirit, craft, and community to unlock the movement potential in others. An active member of the Seattle drum-and-dance communities for many years, her Afro-infused dance style is inspired by travels to Brazil and Mali, West Africa. “Wassa” is the Bambara name Lara received during one of her visits to Mali. It means “one who acts for joy and fulfillment.” Her curiosity about movement and cultures, combined with a deep love for music, are lifelong muses. She offers residencies in local schools and intensive retreat-style workshops internationally. (Photo by Michael Harthorne)
MARLA SIMMS: started her love affair with the human body and its magic from the inside out. She experienced the boldness and explosive energy of a gymnast in her youth. She then turned to the focus of exploration of other’s bodies through the study and practice of massage. She has been a massage practitioner and massage educator for 20 years. As an educator, she pursues a better understanding of the soft tissues of the human body and how they react (however subtly) to the stresses and challenges of life and living. For Marla, the body continues to be a venue of art, joy, and discovery.
CHIARA GUERRIERI: began studying Yoga to rehabilitate and strengthen her core after a car accident; she continues to practice and teach yoga as a way to heal the separation between body and mind. Chiara teaches us how to breathe, how to connect the breath with the body, how to track physical sensations from moment to moment, how to find internal wisdom as body, breath, and mind work together to inspire our practice. Chiara's classes are accessible to anyone with a basic background in yoga. She has a strong interest in injury evaluation and treatment, and welcomes students recovering from injury or other physical pain. She has studied Hypnosis and Neuro Linguistic Programming; she uses her language skills to weave trances that wake us from our routines, allowing us to explore new pathways.

Gary Renard, the best-selling author of The Disappearance of the Universe and Your Immortal Reality, was born on the historic North Shore of Massachusetts. He became a successful professional guitar player, but during the harmonic convergence of 1987, he heard a Calling and began to take his life in a different direction. At the beginning of the 1990’s, he moved to Maine, where he underwent a powerful spiritual awakening. As instructed, he slowly and carefully wrote Disappearance over a period of nine years. In the fall of 2003, after much encouragement from other speakers and students, Gary began to present talks and workshops in public. His speaking career took off remarkably fast, and today he lectures internationally. Combining a disarming sense of humor with radical, cutting-edge metaphysical information and experiential exercises, this acclaimed teacher of A Course in Miracles has been described as one of the most interesting and courageous spiritual speakers in the world. Over the past seven years, he has spoken in 43 states, 23 countries, and was the keynote speaker at the International A Course in Miracles Conferences in Salt Lake City and San Francisco. Gary is also the most recent recipient of the Infinity Foundation Spirit Award. The award is given to a person who has made a meaningful contribution to personal and spiritual growth. Past recipients include Dan Millman, Ram Dass, Gary Zukav, James Redfield, Byron Katie, and Neale Donald Walsch.

Cindy Lora-Renard is an innovative and extraordinary musical talent, and spiritual life coach, with a Master’s Degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. In her music, she blends an eclectic mix of Visionary/New Age, Alternative Pop and meditative sounds with contemporary beats to create a unique style. Her sultry vocals, creative lyrics, and primal rhythms produce a state of mind which takes the listener to higher places where courage, wisdom, and passion can transform. She has more recently been blending her music with the teachings of A Course In Miracles during workshops with her husband, Gary Renard.
Born into a family of teachers and musicians and raised in the Midwest, Cindy was exposed to music early in life. As she developed herself emotionally and spiritually, her musical talents matured with her. Cindy uses her music and degrees as a “healing” tool to help others transform their consciousness into the “higher” vibrations or octaves of life. Her touring schedule with her husband, Gary Renard, is extensive, including performances all over the world, where Cindy participates in her husband’s workshops, singing, guiding meditations, and occasional speaking. She maintains a spiritual coaching practice in Los Angeles, CA.
Her eclectic CD, "Summer And Smoke," reveals Cindy as a true Visionary Artist. Her second cd, “Journey Through Sound,” is focused on meditation and reflection, exploring the use of sound and chant. She has just released a new meditation CD with her husband, Gary Renard, called “Meditations For Couples”. Cindy's visionary lyrical style combined with her spiritual nature provides an unforgettable musical and healing experience. As we enter an age where the old paradigms are challenged to allow new ones to flourish, Cindy's music, meditations, and coaching are right at the leading edge, acting as a bridge to take us into this new way of living. For those who feel drawn to this vision, please join her in an inspiring journey!

Winter is a time of clearing away dead leaves and preparing for new growth in the spring. I am using this as a metaphor for creating this workshop. The focus of this workshop is the art of giving. We will explore our fears and find ways to remove the blocks. We will address giving and receiving to ourselves and the world around us.
