jaRed has been learning, deepening and sharing his yoga flow practice at Kalani for the past eleven years. He first discovered his resonance with yoga through the ashtanga primary series with Pamela Richardson in the summer of '97. He graduated from Kathy Elder's original yoga teacher training in 2001, and has since deepened his understanding of teaching vinyasa flow yoga through intensives with Shiva Rea.
He has felt honored and inspired by the teachings of many and holds gratitude for all of his teachers, past and present. He continues to hold a sacred space for breath, gratitude, yoga and love in his weekly classes at Kalani Oceanside Retreat. www.jaredsam.com
Dennis Dehler
Dennis agrees with Pattabhi Jois' statement in the movie Enlighten Up that the main goal of yoga is to discipline the mind. Dennis feels that Kundalini Yoga is one of the most effective, fun and quickest methods to practice the art of disciplining the mind.
His approach is gentle and focuses on opening up the energy centers in the body with Kundalini Yoga exercises. He has studied with Kundalini master Gurmukh and completed Yogi Bhajan's Kundalini Teacher Training. His classes are invigorating, grounding, intuitive, fun and leave you feeling centered, calm and smiling.

Lino Laure
Lino Laure has been practicing meditation for over 25 years. A year after learning meditation, he had a spontaneous spiritual awakening, as the surge of kundalini energy awakened within him prompting a whole new level of life, self- awareness and direction. Since 1993 he began study and received guidance from his teacher, JK Gurukal, a master healer from Kerala, India, learning aspects of yoga, meditation, martial arts and the healing arts: applied sciences from the tradition of Dhanurveda. While much of what Lino has learned has been essentially for his own edification and spiritual evolution, he enjoys nonetheless sharing aspects of what he has learned with individuals who are open to a better understanding and experience of the art of yoga and meditation. Eddie Marashian of YoEddie Yoga is one of the reasons Los Angeles has gained the reputation as "The Yoga Capitol of the World." Eddie's unique approach fusing classical Hatha technique, Kundalini yoga and Eastern philosophy helps students get more than just a great workout. Eddie apprenticed for three years under nationally renowned Yoga Master, Rod Stryker and is classically trained in the ISHTA School of Yoga. He has taught everywhere from Yoga Zone to Golden Bridge Yoga, where he also studied with internationally acclaimed teachers such as Gurmukh Khalsa. Joshua is an Integrated Energy Therapy Master-Instructor, Reiki Grand Master, Reconnective Healing Practitioner, The Reconnection Practitioner, spiritual intuitive coach, meditation coach, herbalist, spiritual journey facilitator, musician and writer. He currently offers energy healing, meditation courses and spiritual coaching sessions in Southern California, San Francisco, New York City, and across the world privately and for groups. Joshua was born and raised in Los Angeles and has traveled extensively in over 37 countries. He first become introduced to and began the study of metaphysics and the spiritual arts as a young child under the mentorship of his aunt Rebecca, also a healer and psychic. He attended the University of Michigan, where he studied Economics and Music Theatre. After many years of working in consulting, finance and, finally, entertainment, he was unhappy and frustrated with the corporate environment and the state of the world. It was years ago during his first of many trips to India that he began to understand his calling as a healer and teacher. Joshua has also studied The Art of Living, angelic counseling, shamanism, psychic development, crystal healing, past-life regression, sound healing, pranayama, planetary herbology, and the Human Design System.

Winter is a time of clearing away dead leaves and preparing for new growth in the spring. I am using this as a metaphor for creating this workshop. The focus of this workshop is the art of giving. We will explore our fears and find ways to remove the blocks. We will address giving and receiving to ourselves and the world around us.

Most of my education has been informal and passed down through an oral tradition. I have relied on my intuition, travel and determination to explore cultural ideas and beliefs. Much of my teachings rely on taking parts of various cultural practices and creating unique ways of self-discovery. Main source of practices has been shamanic cultures. I have had a series of teachers in different shamanic cultures.
