About the Facilitator(s)

Zoe Jakes: Zoe is a proud member of The Indigo, recently on the road touring their new show Le Serpent Rouge. She has been touring with Bellydance Superstars since the fall of 2005 and can be seen performing on their new Tribal Fusions DVD. She recently finished filming her debut instructional DVD, to be released in the fall. Combining talents with David Satori and Tommy Cappel to form the band Beats Antique, which released the album Tribal Derivations last spring, Zoe is currently working on its sequel. When not with The Indigo, she tours with The Yard Dogs Road Show, a cartoon circus sideshow of wacky dimensions, and has been seen tearing it up with the Extra Action Marching Band. Recently nominated for Zaghareets “Best Interpretive Artist 2007″, Zoe is an inarguably innovative dancer, whose unique take on Tribal bellydance takes influence from Art Nouveau, tango, Breakdance, and Indian classical dance. She loves unicorns and has never once doubted their existence. To learn more about Zoe visit http://beatsantique.com.

Kami Liddle: Kami has been dancing all her life, but found her true passion, Belly Dance, when she was 18 years old. She began to study cabaret style belly dance until she found Fat Chance Belly Dance and began to study their videos religiously. Today Kami refers to her style as a modern fusion of an ancient dance. As she began to perform as a soloist she began to incorporate other styles into her ATS repertoire such as modern, hip hop jazz and bhangra dance. Kami has earned a degree in Art with a Minor in Dance fromthe University of Nevada, Reno and has been nominated for'Best Interpretive Artist" for 2005 and 2007 by Zaghareet Magazine. She joined Bellydance Superstars in 2005 and is a contributing choreographer as well as the director of the Tribal Superstars. Kami recently relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area. Kami is a Oahu favorite and has been asked back again and again to teach and perform here. Her silky moves will hypnotize and enthrall. To learn more about Kami please visit her at www.kamiliddle.com.

* ENHANCE their spiritual development through the ritual use of Trance Dance, Soul Hunting and other 'body-centered' shamanic healing techniques.

* EXPLORE the transformational effects of music, sound and percussive rhythms on the body and the brain.

* EXAMINE the history of ritual dance and it's relationship to mental, physical and emotional healing.

About the Facilitator(s)

Wilbert Alix has earned international recognition as a contemporary healer and teacher of progressive psychology and neo-shamanism. A prominent figure in the emerging science of body-centered psychology his presentations are accentuated with intellectual depth and a unique insight into the relationships between traditional shamanic healing, progressive psychology and modern science.

For more than 30 years Wilbert has trained individuals on how to achieve greater self-esteem, to communicate more effectively, to transform stress and anxiety into positive energy and to transform goals into concrete results. In 1990 this program expanded into the mystical worlds of shamanism, organic healing and transformational music. He conducts annual trainings and retreats around the world. Wilbert frequently appears at professional conferences as well as teaching educational mind/body science programs to individuals and corporations.

Wilbert says of his workshops: “My intention is to bring into focus the enormously complex worlds of mysticism, psychology, shamanic spirituality, and science for the purpose of clear direction and achievement.”
