Halau Hula Ka Makani Hali ʻAla O Puna Performance with Ehulani Stephanie
Saturday, November 8, 2014 - 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Ehulani Stephany is the kumu hula (teacher of hula) for Halau Hula Ka Makani Hali ʻAla O Puna, “The Returning Fragrant Wind Of Puna.” She has taught hula since 1990, and has had the wonderful blessing to be able to study under 14 different kumu hula.
Ehulani has developed her own style of hula by combining the different styles, mana’o “thoughts”, information, protocol, and important deepness within all her kumu hula.
We will warm up with some ancient Kundalini Yoga Kriyas & Meditations to balance chakras, clear Karma & heal stress! Then relax to an otherworldly journey with a DEEP GONG BATH! Enjoy deep cleansing & healing of your psyche. As the waves of the Original Sound Current wash you clean, you will resonate with pleasure, joy and bliss. It is said that 20 minutes of listening to the Gong is like completing 2 hours of deep meditation.
Join us at Kalani Open Mic to share live music, readings, and performances. Hear new and old musical favorites, listen to stories and poetic verse, and be entertained by the extraordinary local talent in our community.
We ask performers to sign up at the entrance and perform one song/piece only at less than 5 minutes. We will also be requesting live performances only (we have other opportunities for short films.)
Join us at Kalani in playful costume for a masquerade to celebrate Halloween evening! Craft beer and Big Island Kombucha will be available at our special event cash bar. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes and for the spooky dance-off winner!
Let your playful spirit soar at this fun Halloween event!
