Awakening Yoga, Shamanic Journey, Meditation & Adventure

Hope Johnson, Jill Walton and Kristen Coyle

This retreat is a playful, intensive and intimate exploration focused on awakening the mind to the Heart’s truth, so that the uniquely creative, happy, powerful and authentic Self may be expressed fully in this Lifetime. We will explore how all relationships reflect our One relationship with Life. Discoveries in this regard can result in immediate and lasting clarity with respect to all personal relationships, physical health, mental well-being, creative outlets, career path, and all other aspects of being human.

About the Facilitator(s)

Hope Johnson:

Hope Johnson is a joyful, playful lover of all, who previously had a “normal” life of discontent, struggle and dis-ease. She facilitates this retreat as an offering to the one Spirit whose only purpose is to restore the mind to its original state of joy and innocence.

Hope offers no specific teaching or philosophy. She offers herself, as a local to the Puna area, she facilitates daily group excursions; and she allows the wisdom that comes through Loving have its way with each person on the retreat.

Having been through many common forms of delusion, Hope has access to a wealth of experience and insight ready to be shared while on excursions, during meals, by the pool, etc. www.thewaytotheway.com.

Jill Walton

Jill was born with an intuitive gift and a desire to be of service. At a young age she was sought out as a confidant and adviser. Throughout the years, Jill discovered that everyone had, within themselves, the abilities they needed to resolve their problems.

So she began focusing on helping people uncover their inner wisdom in order to empower them to become masters of their own wellbeing. With deep trust in her Guidance, Jill brings her experience, complete attention, full-bodied focus and keen intuition to every situation.

She offers a loving, compassionate, nonjudgmental environment to foster true and deep sharing. Jill presents new perspectives and possibilities that often open the way to empowerment, change, renewal, and inspiration.

Kristen Coyle

From a young age Kristen has been a gifted empath and pursued a deeper connection with Source through nature, movement, dance, art, and relating. She started practicing yoga and traveling in 1992. It was on a journey hitch hiking through Mexico, when she found herself standing on her head with a few Kora Indiginistas, that she recognized the power of yoga to connect people worldwide. This awakened in her the desire to facilitate healing in any way that moved through her.

Her main focus in life became practicing and living her yoga, travelling, and connecting with people from all cultures on a heart level. These experiences have transformed her life and elevated her yoga teaching from asana based experiences to Transformational Flow.

200 Hour Yogacara Hawaii Yoga Teacher Training (RYS)

Alison Boons, E-RYT 500 & Siobhan Keely, RYT 500

November 7, 2015 - November 22, 2015

About the Facilitator(s)

Our Teachers involved with the Hawaii Yoga Teacher Training Program, are completely committed to your success, your experience and helping you to attain living what you love! Remember, at one point they were exactly where you are. Each of our teachers Followed Their Bliss and now, years later, they are here to share in your journey. Together, we commit 150% of our efforts to ensuring your experience is exceptional!

Alison Boons, Lead Teacher | E-RYT 500

Having practicedAlison Boones yoga for over 10 years, I came to the realization that my life is YOGA, and my yoga practice allows me to connect with my body and my mind and allow the trials and tribulations, that life sometimes throws your way, to not become so overwhelming. I believe strongly in the power of yoga to bring awareness to self, to assist with stress and to deepen our knowledge, trust, happiness and love with ourselves and those around us. Yoga is not only a physical practice but a way of life and I continue to further my education and understanding of the teachings of Yoga, and the inspiration and the grace that comes with a regular yoga practice.

Adding to my ongoing training, I became a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, a modality that through a combination of classical yoga techniques and elements of contemporary body-mind psychology, encourages this deeper connection with self and a Pilates Mat Instructor.

Siobhan Kelly, Lead Teacher | RYT 500

Siobhan KeelyI cannot pin point exactly what brought me to yoga, but I know I wanted to feel more relaxed and open and hoped yoga would help me do that. It did. I had been practising yoga for less than a year when I decided to pursue teacher training, mostly to deepen my practice while on my mat and when out in the real world. I completed my 200 hour certificate right here at Yogacara, and it was the exact kick in the pants start I needed to set foot on my quest for living life more simply and living life with less – less stress, less need to be right, less “stuff”. Do I accomplish this every day? No, but yoga is a constant reminder of how I can. And once I figured out how yoga grounds me and brings me back to NOW, I couldn’t wait to show others. I LOVE teaching yoga. I love watching students grow and learn and expand, both in body and soul. I love what the students teach me about trust and openness. I love that no matter how tired I am or if life is dragging her heels, the students ALWAYS give me energy and a sense of joy.

As and Anatomy Facilitator on the Yoga Teacher Training program, I will help you get down to the basics of muscles and bones, ligaments and tendons, and how to apply this knowledge to the poses of yoga. The subject of anatomy can be overwhelming and is a topic that can be studied for an indefinite amount of time. It is my goal to take away the that sense of bewilderment and instead create an excitement to learn more. Knowing even just basic anatomy will help you move forward in your own practice as well as help your students grow and stay safe in theirs.
As an Assistant Asana Facilitator, I will ensure that you are carefully guided through each Asana taught, in such a way that it may be broken down, clearly taught and modified for a variety of students. No student will leave the training without a full comprehension of teaching Asana and sequencing Asana. We will spend many hours together within this part of the curriculum doing hands on training and inter-teaching within the group.
Yoga has been such a blessing in my life in so many ways, I cannot wait to join you on your own journey of discovering where yoga will lead YOU. The divine spark within me sees and honours the divine spark within you.

Ning

February 12, 2015 - February 18, 2015

About the Facilitator(s)

As I reflect on my journey in yoga it becomes increasingly apparent it is intertwined with the journey of my life.   After 9 years practiced law in China, I came to Canada and started new life without a word of English. In the past 19 years I have been traveling the world and taking many yoga teacher tracings, discipline and strength of Ana Forrest profoundly influenced me. Her training, thought by some to be among the toughest in the world, inspired me. Having succeeded in completing two of her “Forrest Yoga” Advanced Teacher Training courses, I feel honored to now incorporate many of Ana Forrest’s disciplines in my practice and classes, I have to say "Forrrest Yoga " has a big impact in my yoga practice and my life .I feel so lucky for    Running a successful studio (yoga and beyond in Calgary). I have met so many wonderful people just like you through yoga.Life begins with nothing material and ends with nothing material. But the joy of acquiring friends, of sharing, of learning, is a quest and yields the greatest gifts of all that will follow us through our journey in eternity.  Thank you rhythm, breath and dance, you have become the vessel which has contained my life. Thank you. My friends. You are my life.
