Volunteer Opportunities for Information Technology Professionals
Subsidies for VOIP Engineer
Typically our volunteers and sabbatical guests pay a tuition fee which offsets a portion of food and lodging costs. However, skilled IT personnel who commit to volunteer three months or more at Kalani receive significant incentives.
Kalani is currently seeking VOIP Engineer professionals for the following position:
A versatile VOIP engineer who can install an asterisk system at our non profit organization.
The ideal person will be a strong team player, project oriented, and will have a knack for finding creative ways to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Installation of Free PBX Asterisk Server
- Full Knowledge of the following OS's: Asterisk, Ubuntu, Windows
- Networking certification
- VOIP certification
- Transfer existing phone lines from Panasonic KX-TD1232 PBX to Free PBX Asterisk server.
- Patch panel cabling
- Participate in a large community of staff, students, and volunteers where together we create a space for much professional and personal growth.
If you are accepted as a Kalani volunteer for your skills in this position you will only pay 50% of the first month tuition fee (i.e. $300).
In order to be eligible for this tuition incentive, you must commit to volunteer three consecutive months or more in the Kalani IT department.
