Kalani offers many events just for men, and several that are just for women.
Women, please note that Kalani is very popular as a fun, safe learning and social environment for women (and some fine genteel, health-focused men). Many workshops, particularly yoga, dance, and wellness events, are primarily attended by women and some are only for women. What Is Kalani?
Kalani is a retreat, part owned and operated by GBLT community, where you can experience Hawaii, nature, culture and wellness.
Co-owner, founder, and director Richard Koob and Kalani GBLT staff and board have, since 1975, presented diversity appreciation programs in Hawaii's schools and communities. We have also conducted and participated in fundraisers for Hawaii's HIV/AIDS organizations, and contributed to and participated in major events including the Gay Games, Gay Naturists International, California Men Enjoying Naturism, the Billy Club, Faerie gatherings, Maenner Naturlich, gay pride parades, and more.
Kalani Honua means harmony of heaven and earth, and this is what we aspire to. We welcome all in the spirit of aloha and are guided by the Hawai'ian tradition of ohana (extended family), respecting our diversity yet sharing in unity.
