Storytelling Performance: Sex and Laughter
Sunday, February 17, 2013 - 7:30pm - 9:00pm
Kimberly Dark makes her home in lower Puna when she's not traveling the world telling stories, teaching and practicing playful profundity. Kalani Honua is her favorite place to try new material - expect 75 minutes of experimental storytelling and then a little conversation about what you saw. This evening's stories will focus on sex and laughter. Now, how many ways can you say yes to that?
Kimberly Dark is the author of five award-winning solo performances, three educational theatre performances and a wide range of interactive lectures and workshops that use storytelling, humor and spoken word performance to help audiences address issues they may think they don’t want to discuss. In particular, Dark’s writing focuses on the body in culture - and on the contours of privilege and oppression in our everyday lives.
