Come celebrate Kalani’s 38th anniversary, and the retirement of Kalani’s visionary co-founder, Richard Koob. It’s our biggest Ānuenue Freedom Festival yet!

Hawai‘i Island Pride: Saturday July 6th, 11 a.m., Downtown Waterfront Hilo

Hawaii Island’s first pride parade and festival.  We are honored that our very own Richard Koob has been named Grand Marshall of the parade.  Step-off is 11:00 am Saturday July 6 from Mo’oheau County Park near the band stand, with festival immediately following.  For further information and an entry form, click on the Hawaii Island Pride logo to visit their website.  

“Stepping Up” Gala: Saturday July 6th, 8 p.m., in EMAX

Join us for an intimate evening of powerful performances in tribute to the retirement of Richard Koob.

Special Pride-themed E-Dance Sunday, July 7th at 10:30 am. in EMAX

Dance, sweat and shake into a groovey beat with a continuation of the weekend pride festival spirit.

70’s Love-In Retro Pool Party! Sunday, July 7th at 1 pm. At Kalani Pool. 

Come party like it’s 1975, the year Kalani was founded.
Playful 70’s attire warmly encouraged – prizes all afternoon!
With special musical guest, Shea Derrick & Full Flavor.
Admission: $10 pool party only. $20 pool party with lunch inlcuded. SAVE $5 off any admission if dressed in 70s attire!
